My Love From the Star is very dated by the Justin Bieber (circa "Baby") side swoop hair everyone was rocking, along with those exceptionally tight skinny jeans *chills*. The drama is the early work of the creators of Crash Landing on You, Queen of Tears, and Legend of the Blue Sea, and I thought I was going to love it, but I couldn't buy into the romance...

I really liked the first few episodes and thought the leads had great chemistry. Unfortunately, the FL was too immature for her age for me to take her seriously and after the "mystery" is revealed the story drags. The secondary romance was also kind of weird...

True Beauty is the 10th most popular drama on MDL and has a reputation for second lead syndrome...

A contemporary fantasy with Nine Tailed Aspirations with a likable couple, but the acting wasn't there for me. ..

I have quite a few thoughts on this drama: I LOVED everything about it for the first four episodes, but then it became an inane drawn out cooking contest...

Why I dropped: This one is on me. I didn't pay attention to the MA rating and was caught off guard by all the swearing. I'm a wimp when it comes to that sort of thing, but I know people really like this one, so if that's not a concern, I say go for it!

3.1/10 Stars: The worst C-drama I have ever completed. Truly. The CGI was good, but everything else felt like I was being punked..

3.45/10 Stars: Ugh, Bella Naur. An unsatisfying conclusion to the most heinous triology in (my) existence.

4.4/10 Stars: A bland tale of an arranged marriage and secret identities that had the flair of a raw potato.

4.6/10 Stars: A dark romanticization of a Wuxia with an enemies to lovers romance that explores the thin line between love and hate by means of a couple very twisted relationships. Li Qin was cool as usual, though.

4.9/10 Stars: Youthful Glory is a fluffy, brainless romp in the same vein as Royal Rumors (but YG wasn't as funny) and Les Belles (nor as good), but couldn't overcome an unlikeable Female Lead and a suddenly serious third act.

5/10 Stars: An unserious period idol romance with vintage Zhao Lu Si that feels like mindless filler.

5/10 Stars: A romance centric Xianxia with a transmigrated FL played by an actress more suited for modern time... and Arthur Chen. It had potential, but I couldn't buy into the romance.

4.2/10 Stars: Fluffy and somewhat vampiric for a hot minute, but ultimately skippable.

5/10 Stars: Loved the FL character and actress, along with the world building, but the characterization and storytelling could've used some refinement.

6/10 Stars: A blessedly short Xianxia with good chemistry.

6/10 Stars: A reborn girl with a grudge and a man set on revenge dupe their evil "family members" and fall in love in a mini that excels in the chemistry of the main couple.

3.3/5 Stars: A lighthearted mini that goes the My Heroic Husband Route without the angst and with better twists.

6.7/10 Stars: Helmed by the Pursuit of Jade hitmaker, A Familiar Stranger is a gothic, face swapping romance that earns its title as the highest rated mini drama on MDL.
