Spoiler-Free Mini Review:
Rise From the Ashes is a somewhat disjointed romantic mini where a concubine's daughter is given a second chance at life to get revenge against her familia, only to unwittingly fall in love with her partner in crime along the way. The story is your typical tale of revenge and rebirth with a reformed "villainous" sister who can read a room, but what pushed it towards the top of my mini list is the chemistry. The drama tells you early on the Male Lead is not actually her uncle (thankfully), so I was rooting for the pair the whole time. They had such great chemistry that felt natural and adorable. Full Length dramas really need to learn from this lol.
The story was fine and didn't require too much attention, although the end felt like a cop out. Still, It's not bad for the small amount of time you need to invest to watch.

Story=3 (typical), Acting=3 (Fine) Production Quality=2.5 (Fine for a mini), Ending=3 (Could have been better), Enjoyability= 3, Would I rewatch= Maybe
Director: Dai Qi (Once Upon a Dream)
