Synopsis:

Non-Spoiler Thoughts:
I have quite a few thoughts on this drama: I LOVED everything about it for the first four episodes, but then it became an inane drawn out cooking contest. And I, by no means speak Chinese, but even I can tell those actors don't speak it either lol. The chemistry between the leads was so good at first, but then fizzles into oblivion. And I never liked the character of the Male Lead. I think Lee Chae Min was too young for the role and even though he did good with what he was given, I think the story would have connected better had the original casting of Park Sung Hoon, who is 16 years the senior of Lee Chae Min, remained. Because of this last minute casting switch, we are given a noona romance (10 year age gap between leads in real life), and while the chemistry worked out fine, Lee Chae Min just looked like a baby.
I also didn't love the extreme zoom in's on people eating. A serious ick was discovered for me. While this was a miss for me, it was a hit on Netflix, so what do I know? It's rare for a historical drama to keep the course, so if you are okay with that, I say give it a try!

Lost interest after episode 4
Drawn out cooking contest and zoom in's of people eating really got to me lol.
Apparently, there is going to be a spin off starring Cha Eun Woo.
