Spoiler-Free Mini Review:

Based on the webtoon of the same name, My Dearest Nemesis is a VeRy silly and fluffy drama following in the Rom Com footsteps of shows like King the Land and Business Proposal, but the more you watch, the more you realize that the shoe does not fit in the same way. The drama somehow managed to be less serious than those comedies, and almost reminded me of a Disney Channel Original Movie.

Ban Ju Yeon (Male Lead) is by design an immature guy who never had a chance to grow up, thus he's stuck in his teenage ways. This role really didn't land with me. I think the drama was going for endearing with his character, but he just felt like a man child. And Sabrina warned me about those. lol.

I fear we found the Man Child Sabrina refers to

Choi Hyun Wook (ML Actor) looks like a wee babe and didn't have the acting here nuance needed to pull off this role. That's not to say that he's not a great actor, usually he leaves no crumbs, but this cliche role isn't in his wheelhouse. Honestly, it the role was so poorly written, I don't know whose wheelhouse it would be in. Maybe a hampsters. It didn't help that the actor was 22 years old during filming, playing a 31 year old. Mun Ka Young (FL Actress) is only 5 years older, and the age gap was addressed in the story, but she is just miles ahead in terms of acting and maturity in character, forget about age.

Mun Ka Young did a pretty good job with what she was given and I overall liked her character. The secondary couple was fine, I guess. I really liked the character of Seo Ha Jin, mainly because Im Se Mi (Actress) is great at what she does. This isn't quite an enemies to lovers because it was never at any point that serious, and leaned more into the Chaebol/employee romance with a lovers reunited twist.

I lost interest around episode 8, but I persevered because I am a hero. Also, did the world need another evil granny lol?

My Dearest Nemesis still with Mun Ka Young and Choi Hyun Wook; two people dressed as cows

Story=2.5 (Should have kept to the enemies to lovers trope more), Acting=2.75 (Below average, eps. the ML), Production Quality=4 (fine), Ending= 3 (it was stupid, but so was the show), Enjoyability= 2.75, Would I rewatch= No
