Spoiler-Free Mini Review:

Finding this show can be a little tricky as it has multiple names. On Viki, search for: "I'll go to you when the weather is nice", and on Netflix, search for: "When the Weather is Fine".

WtWiF is a VERY slow paced, but warm and cozy story with a fairy tale quality set in a countryside bookshop, with the quintessential Hallmark trope of the "big" city girl returning to her hometown. Hae Won suffers from burnout and unresolved trauma, and she bonds with the introverted Eun Seob as she acclimates back to life away from the city.

Peace and blessing upon her, but I could not suspend my disbelief enough to buy that Park Min Young (FL actress) was a high school student in the flashbacks. The same goes for Seo Kang Jun (ML actor), but he pulled it off better. Mok Hae Won (FL) and Im Eun Seob (ML) were great characters who believably grew over the course of the show, but holy hannah was Im Eun Seob (ML) emotionally constipated. He needs magnesium for his emotions stat. Both characters were extremely introverted and that, coupled with the quietness of the scenery, gave the story a special stillness which added to the almost fairy tale vibe.

This is a deceivingly dense plot that brilliantly unfolds as the story goes on. At first the characters feel flat like blank canvases, but with each episode you learn more about them, which colors their characters and fills in the blanks on past episodes. The show focuses on themes of loneliness, learning how to express yourself, forgiveness, and family. The side characters all had their charm and felt like real people. Though the story moseys along, I found it really compelling and bingeable. If you enjoy Summer Strike, you will love this (though WtWiF is faster paced?).

Story= 4.25 ( Slow and sweet, but never dragged. The reasoning of characters was a bit off towards the end)

Acting=4.5 (No complaints)

Production Quality=4.5 (The lack of snow when there should be snow was a little funny. Also, we need to start a go fund me for the ML because could we not give him more than 2 sweaters?)

Ending=4.5 (A little fast, but no complaints)

Enjoyability=4.5 (I really enjoyed this.)

Would I rewatch= Yes!
