6.9/10 Stars: Spooky in love was touted by marketing material as a supernatural romance with chills and thrills galore, but it was merely your average Chaebol Rom Com dressed up in ghostly attire it ditched all too soon. Though it wasn’t as spook-tacular (I couldn’t help myself) as I hoped it would be, it was still a nice time and added some fun to tired tropes. And with the utter graveyard of failed dramas this year, the barebones of a good story is enough for me.

6.8/10 Stars: A ruthless Princess reborn must find herself a Prince... and the sickly Crown Prince is determined to the one she picks, in a Period Idol Romance that explores unrequited love, power, and the balance in between. The drama has a garden of handsome men whose scheming looked dimensional from a distance, but up close, proved to be flat idol centric origami at work. Nevertheless, some enjoyment is to be had.

7.5/10 Stars: A good time if you don't want to commit to a full length drama and don't mind an ML who is a firetruck red flag, along with a darker storyline.

7/10 Stars: Half romance/half family drama, Family By Choice is a better choice than the original Chinese drama (Go Ahead), with strong chemistry between leads, but nothing groundbreaking.

7/10 Stars: A lukewarm fantasy romance that probably works better for younger viewers, but is generally a mid time.

7/10 Stars: A slice of life, non-soap medical drama that is LIGHT on romance, but refreshingly grounded, following 5 Surgeon BFF's around the workplace. If you like medical dramas, this is probably for you. If not, this won't make you change your mind lol.

7.1/10 Stars: A so-so Joseon romance with slapstick adjacent comedy that still fares better than much of the Sageuks released nowadays, with compelling themes that were never fully explored.

7/10 Stars: A time loop drama bogged down by repetition, but the themes and intensity make up the difference.

7.25/10 Stars: Not a must watch, but a fun time with a whacky premise that somehow works.

7.3/10 Stars: A twin switcharoo that delves into failure, expectations, and identity with a romance that had the bones to be great, but never fleshed it out enough.

7/10 Stars: Not really a romance, but a melancholy reflection of love lost starring a grim reaper who is determined to save his first love from herself.

7/10 Stars: A Master and Disciple switch roles in a mortal realm focused Xianxia, with a refreshing Female Lead and a Debbie Downer of a love interest.

7/10 Stars: Perfect for fans of Royal Rumors, Les Belles is a low stakes romantic comedy riddled with pacing issues, but finds its saving grace in its unseriousness, and with its likable Female Lead.

7/10 Stars: THE quintessential modern Xianxia whose popularity cemented the genre template of mortal trials, love throughout lifetimes, and many dramatic misunderstandings.

7/10 Stars: An enemies to lovers romance filled with angst, revenge, and Stockholm Syndrome. It's decent for the type of tangled love story it is, but isn't for everyone.

7/10 Stars: A shorter, low budget and low stakes drama that exceeds expectations with its comedy.

7.4/10 Stars: A ninja filled historical parody that leaned too intense for my tastes at moments, and shined in it's comedy, but didn't leave a strong impression in romance or story.

7.6/10 Stars: A truly hilarious and quintessential Rom Com that doesn't go deep, but for once, I didn't mind.

6.9/10 Stars: Promised Mulan, but delivered an angsty love story bogged down by a low budget and too much deviation from the original source material.

7.4/10 Stars: A supernatural romance with good chemistry and decent acting that struggled to overcome a convoluted plot that only works when you don't think about it.
