Synopsis:
Park Seong A is a high school student, but, at night, she is a shaman named Fairy Cheon Ji. When she works as a shaman, she covers her face partially to hide her identity. She is famous as Fairy Cheon Ji and she is busy working with her clients who come to ask about their future, fortune, illnesses, and other things. One night, Bae Gyeon U and his grandmother come to visitFairy Cheon Ji. Park Seong A has a crush on him at first sight, but she sees that he is destined to die soon. The next day, Bae Gyeon U appears in front of her as a new transfer student in her class. She decides to save him from his destiny. @MDL
Spoiler-Free Mini Review:
I would have head over heels for thsi drama if I was a youth. Alas. Head Over Heals follows Park Seong A, a high schooler who is trying to live the best of both worlds as a normal girl by day and a Shaman by night, while attempting to de-curseify her crush. Livin' two lives is a little weird (yeah), But schools cool 'cuase nobody knows... Sorry, the Hannah Montana in me awoke up from its millennial slumber. I am defenseless against it.
Expect teenage instalove (that turns into unhealthy obsession, lol I kid, I kid?) with some shamanic elements thrown in. I had second lead syndrome for sure, probably because the ML was a full-grown man no matter how you squint, while the rest of the cast could pass for high schoolers on a foggy day. I could just have a vendetta against the ML's obvious veneers, but I never warmed up to him. He was full on rude to the poor FL for too long. I think I also had an issue because the characters never had depth or believable motivation. And they could have stopped the villain so many times! Ugh!
I watched the drama from start to finish, so I didn't dislike it by any means, but I think it could have been cooler. I'd recommend to those who enjoy youth dramas and don't mind pacing problems.
