Synopsis:

Spoiler-Free Mini Review:

Fight For My Way is chaotic gumbo of romance, friendship, and sports, with a splash of a coming of adulthood tale, where four friends strive to find and follow their dreams, while struggling with societal expectations. Although the Male Lead is an MMA fighter, sports was not the main plotline of the story, thank goodness.


Fight For My Way reminded me so much of Because This is My First Life—I’d say BTiMFL is more profound and complex, but FFMW was way more enjoyable, and I actually loved all the couples. The main leads had great chemistry despite the drama rushing their relationship toward the end.


Surprisingly, I was the most invested in the second couple's story—The 2CFL (2nd couple female lead) slayed and she is a queen and I love her. Song Ha Yoon (2CFL) is an amazing actress and her portrayal was the star (and heart) of the show. The 2CML was such an interesting character-- I have many thoughts, which I will save for my full review.


Side Note: I believe Song Ha Yoon left the entertainment industry after a childhood bullying controversy.



There is a left field mystery plot, but I might as well complain that the sky is blue. I think it's a requirment for all K-drama's.


If this show ever comes back on Viki: The epilogues at the end of the episodes cut off early, so you may miss some of the story—I’d watch on apple if you can.



Story=4 (Not deep, but engaging)

Acting=4.5 (I didn’t buy into the FL as an announcer & she cried alot, but everyone did great. I really felt for the 2CFL)

Production Quality=4 (Can't complain)

Ending=4.5 (Rushed but there was no random murder plot thrown in at the 11th hour so a win) Enjoyability= 4.5 (Didn’t Drag)

Would I rewatch= Yes!
