A very synthetic, kiddie Xianxia that melted my brain a little too much...

This was frustratingly bad. The trailers and promotional material wove a web of exaggeration that portrayed the drama as an authentic, grounded Period Romance that was trying to do more than the age old tropes. But it was just Gollum leading me to Shelob...

Assassins, angst, and trauma filled relationships...

A whimsical, pleasant Xianxia romance that never felt compelling.

A story with less life than a corpse.

This Thriving Land is a grounded republican period drama, following two sisters who just cannot catch a break, along with their Ebenezer Scrooge father who is just the worst, and needs to clear out those sinuses.

The lesser version of Ashes of Love and Love and Redemption.

Empty storytelling with a shiny, filtered shell.

A Wuxia/Period Idol Romance whose destination made the journey questionable.

A tense investigative drama that follows the format of the TV show 24, and shines with it's authentic Tang Dynasty lens, but can't string together a cohesive narrative.

A case breaking coroner romance with less life than the corpses they find.

A grounded Qing dynasty rags to riches tale.

Dropped: A Period Idol Romance that was more a family affair of revenge, with scheming and killer outfits around every corner.

Dropped: A Male Centric Mystery with unrealized Nirvana in Fire Ambitions.

3.1/10 Stars: The worst C-drama I have ever completed. Truly. The CGI was good, but everything else felt like I was being punked..

3.45/10 Stars: Ugh, Bella Naur. An unsatisfying conclusion to the most heinous trilogy in (my) existence.

4.4/10 Stars: A bland tale of an arranged marriage and secret identities that had the flair of a raw potato.

4.6/10 Stars: A dark romanticization of a Wuxia with an enemies to lovers romance that explores the thin line between love and hate by means of a couple very twisted relationships. Li Qin was cool as usual, though.
