Synopsis:
Crown Princess Rong Le of Western Qi awakens with amnesia and doubts about her identity. To secure a political alliance, she is ordered to marry Prince Wu You, but he rejects her. Disguising herself as the tea house owner, Man Yao, she secretly searches for priceless books that could change the fate of a nation. Her journey leads her back to Wu You, who falls for her, unaware she is the princess he turned away. But with new marriage orders from General Fu Chou of Northern Lin, it might be too late for him to realize the truth. @MDL

Spoiler-Free Mini Review:
Princess Silver is a masterpiece in the same way Link: Eat, Kill, Love is. It's one of the dramas where you wonder what went wrong and how could all the right things go wrong enough for this result. Princess Silver is not good, but gosh darn it, I loved it.
The drama starts off fine, but then it gets more absurd in all aspects: The wigs, the editing, THE PLOT. But I was seated. After a certain point, I didn't bat an eye at the Mission Impossible face swapping and the really inaccurate subtitles. I came out both unfazed and mystified. The director must have given up the ghost at some point, because you could see the harnesses during the fight scenes lol.
Rong Le was a strong and competent Female Lead tragically plopped into a poor script with a bunch of crazy men. Zhang Xue Ying did a great job with her portrayal and I'm sad she doesn't get many lead roles these days. Aarif Rahman (ML) was a weird choice for the role, and Jing Chao matched the vibe of the drama I guess. Luo Yun Xi (Rong Qi) looked like a baby compared to everyone else lol.
The drama starts off with an amnesiac woman who is tasked with an arranged marriage with a secret side quest to find a book, but she's constantly interrupted by the three crazy men who are obsessed with her. The story was mostly a romance with a dash of fighting and politics, and a whole lotta crazy. It was so unhinged. Apparently the source material is even more unhinged. I couldn't care less who she ended up with because I couldn't root for any of those knuckleheads.
Is this good? No. Did I like it. Heck to the yeah. Do I recommend? I don't want others to watch because I know I will be judged (which is fair), but I need others to understand the fever dream I experienced.
Story=3, Acting=3, Production Quality=1 (even party city is judging those wigs, you can see the harness's in the fight scenes lol), Rewatch Value=4 (I have actually rewatched this bc I am a hero), Ending=3.75, Enjoyability= 5 (Inexplicable but I was in it)
