Synopsis:

Yi Yul, Crown Prince of Joseon, is a perfectionist who disregards most royal palace nobles. His cold and demanding demeanor masks deeply rooted loneliness. He comes to pass a law stating that Korean citizens of marriageable age must wed before the age of 28. Hong Sim is a strong, intelligent woman who supports herself and her father. After an attempt on his life, Crown Prince Yi Yul is severely injured and finds himself under the care of the Hong household. He’s experiencing temporary amnesia, and now unaware of his identity, he is free to wander at will as a commoner. Due to the law, he himself passed, Hong Sim, now the oldest unmarried woman in her village, must marry or face punishment from officials. Yi Yul proposes to Hong Sim that they ought to marry. Spoiler-Free Mini Review:

100 Days My Prince is a historical rom com in which a spinster must (unknowingly) marry an amnesic prince so there will be rain. Strong on comedy, but burdened by a somewhat unlikable Male Lead, 100 Days My Prince was a solid, if not forgettable drama. I don't have much to say about it as it didn't wow me, nor did I find it boring; It just didn't leave much of an impression either way. I admit I had second lead syndrome. Kim Seon Ho is always out on these K-drama streets being too good of an option.

In the defense of the Crown Prince's character and the actor, it's hard to establish a character who doesn't know who he is. But Doh Kyung Soo was great at the comedy. In terms of romance, he had these crazy dead fish eyes and I couldn't do it. I'm so sorry, but did no one else notice that?

Overall, a good watch if your in the mood for a funny period drama. I was never on the edge of my seat, but it didn't biff the ending. So yay?
