Gyeongseong Creature is set in Japanese Occupied Korea during the 1940's, and has a very similar vibe to Stranger Things. But it is MUCH more graphic. Blood and gore everywhere lol. The drama takes a look at a Japanese experimental prison camp inspired by the real life Unit 731...

I really liked the first few episodes and thought the leads had great chemistry. Unfortunately, the FL was too immature for her age for me to take her seriously and after the "mystery" is revealed the story drags. The secondary romance was also kind of weird...

Why I dropped: This one is on me. I didn't pay attention to the MA rating and was caught off guard by all the swearing. I'm a wimp when it comes to that sort of thing, but I know people really like this one, so if that's not a concern, I say go for it!

6/10 Stars: An inoffensive nothing burger that should have been a movie, but relies on Jisoo's star power and cameos to make up the difference. It's a fine watch if you're bored, but there is a risk you might become even more bored.

7.6/10 Stars: The romance didn't pull me in, but I enjoyed the comedy and the character of Hong Sim.

7.8/10 Stars: A Hallmark premise done right in a tight knit coastal community with a big city girl and a small town jack of all trades who slowly fall for each other.

8.24/10 Stars: A dark, satirical comedy with twists and turns and an subtle, but perfect romance.
