6/10 Stars: A twisty, complex Xianxia whose story is wasted on a high school theatre level production, bland acting, and too many episodes. Put me in there coach, and I will paper mache a set worthy of the plot. I can't full heartedly recommend, but the story is good...It's just all the other things.

7/10 Stars: THE quintessential modern Xianxia whose popularity cemented the genre template of mortal trials, love throughout lifetimes, and many dramatic misunderstandings.

7.2/10 Stars: I recommend with caveats, because it was great on paper, but loses it's grip in execution.

8.45/10 Stars: A modern take on a Wuxia that starts off with a bang, but looses focus and runs out of time towards the end.
