Mango TV (MGTV) 2026 Fall/Winter Conference Round Up: C-Drama News, Trailers, and Announcements
The bi-annual Mango TV conference took place this week and Mango TV once again brought out their upcoming 89 Drama catalog under the banner of the 2027 slate. However, Mango TV only releases around 25 full length, scripted dramas a year, so don't expect to see many of these anytime soon. I've gathered up the highlights of the conference, but most of the material was just a repeat of the Spring/Summer showcase with new promotional materials, like posters and BTS. The big pull of the conference was the release of the highly anticipated Dancing with the Tide trailer, as well as Nirvana in Flames.
The conference did have a serious ick in that it has added an AIGC/AI drama section to its presentation. Mango recently released China's first fully AI generated long form television series in August, and it seems like that the is the direction they will be investing in. I hate it here.

Dancing with the Tide (Tan Jianci & Lu Yuxiao)

Nirvana in Flames (Wu Jinyan & Miles Wei)
Synopsis:The drama is adapted from Tian Xia Gui Yuan's novel "Di Huang / 帝凰" Set in a chaotic world split into four warring kingdoms, it follows Qin Changge, a student of the Qianjue Sect. After defying fate and suffering a backlash that leads to her mysterious death, a girl who bears a striking resemblance to her appears three years later, entangled once more in a cycle of fate with her former lover, Xiao Jue. @CPOPHOME
