Spoiler-Free Mini Review:
This is a very idol drama but it has enough heart to compensate. But there were MANY liberties taken with history and camera angles. Those wide shots haunt me in my sleep. Every dramatic zoom in feels like a jump scare. There is minor violence & blood but I'd say it's less frequent than a show like Love Like the Galaxy.
The acting is... not the best shall we say and the last 5 episodes aren’t as good, but I was along for the ride. I really enjoyed the exploration of the family in exile.
But what I enjoyed the most was that we were gifted a evelheaded FL ,though the actress didn't give her character much pizazz. However, I can look past it as the character is supposed to be a little bland and not personable, so I guess it worked out in her favor. The pop music took me out to the ball game lolz. What was it doing there? And why did Iike it so much?
There is a love story but the family dynamic is the most interesting and well-developed part. It shined when it focused on business and domestic life. But we do have a couple who finally communicates and I call that a win! Overall, a heartwarming and interesting (but still very idol) look at women's lives.
Story=4.75 (Great, heartwarming), Acting=3.5 (We listen and we don't judge), Production Quality=4.25 (Solid, but why does the ML have a high pony w/ beach waves? He's coming for Ariana Grande. Also, why the catchy pop music?), Ending=5 (Satisfying but unfocused), Enjoyability= 5 (loved)
