June 2026 Tencent Conference: The Round Up of Announcements, Teasers, and Trailers

Tencent just held its annual conference and essentially doused everyone with a firehose of drama news. After wading through the overflow of information, I decided to round up a few (lol) that I thought looked interesting.
These dramas are all in different stages of development so it's good to keep in mind the timeline of production:
Pre Production (Averages 3 months): Script, casting, location approval
Filming (Averages around 5 months for period dramas and 2 months for Contemporary): Principal Photography and Shooting
Post Production (Averages 3 months for Contemporary and 6 months for Period Dramas): Editing, Scoring, CGI, Dubbing
Censorship: Review, Post Editing, and Distribution License (Can be concurrent with Post Production)
Once these steps are completed and a distribution license is awarded, a drama is "ready to air." The internet loves to plant "melons" or predict when a drama will come out, but not even a Ouija board can summon that answer from the universe. The only reliable indicator is the official airdate from the platform which is typically announced one to two weeks before a drama airs. Production companies try to take advantage of an actor's popularity so if an actor is shining in an airing drama, expect to see their work released one after another, if not simultaneously.

Rainbound

This batch of trailers are for dramas that have recently wrapped so the promo's are sparse on story. Most of these will lack dubbing, editing, and other shiny post production magic and skin filters which will be added on for the second round of trailers.
The Road to Glory
Starring: Zhang Ling He (Pursuit of Jade) and Jelly Lin (Dream of Splendor)
Genre: Idol Period Romance

Status: Currently in post production as it finished Filming May 2026. Earliest we could see this is probably November 2026.
Noteworthy: The source material is written by the same author as Pursuit of Jade!
Excitement Level: Higher than the Duke Su's Bun from the Double.
Palace Stewardess
Starring: Ding Yu Xi (Love Game in Eastern Fantasy) and Song Zu Er (Prisoner of Beauty)
Genre: Idol Period Romance

Status: Currently in post production as it finished filming June 2026.
Excitement Level: Cautiously Hopeful-- I love Song Zu Er but Ding Yu Xi is usually a miss for me
Bu Rang Jiang Shan:
Starring: Yang Yang (Who Rules the World) and Zhai Zi Lu (The Lead)
